The Political Quiz

Cd in Play: Super Furry Animals, Love Kraft.

I like taking quizes, even though I would quibble with the definitions some people use to arrive at their answers. How would I even score as 8% Nazi? I also se no difference between Communist and Socialist.

You scored as Socialist. <'Imunimaginative's Deviantart Page'>

Yeah, Magnus, I know. How can one be 17 percent Nazi. At least I didn't click on the Master Race bit. No way!

By the way, I do support Weed for Comedians. They make stoners more funny. Remember the "You can put your weed in that" skit? It was an SNL one with David Spade, Chris Farley and Rob Schneider.

By the way, 8% Republicans. I guess you're right about me, Magnus.

I tried the Which religion is the right one for you. The quiz forced me to rechoose one of my answers (do I believe abortion is an abominable sin, do I believe the existence of God cannot be completely proven or do I believe peace, etc. can be achieved through meditation. If I had chosen the first, I would have been urged to become a Hindu, if I had chosen the last, I would have been urged to study up on Buddhism, but I chose the middle on. I had already chosen a similar answer to the latter on, and with exceptions, I don't believe that abortion is an abominable sin. If the woman is 6 months pregnant, well, that is pretty darn bad. But I think the woman should question her sanity more than anything. Furthermore, she should not try or allow herself to have more children unless she really feels she is a changed person. I don't think think she is a bad person, necessarily, but she had done a pretty wretched thing, and she had harmed a living creature.

I guess my vegetarianism shows. But I am full of contradictions, you know? I eat eggs, cheese (the latter of which I cannot do without), and now even eat fish and other seafood. But I am a scrupulous, conscientious human being. Whatever. I feel sorry for those wretched psychopaths who are empty of that inner judge, almost from the first. How do you redeem them. They are human beings, too, aren't they. We have to avoid becoming like them. They are examples. But how do we also completely understand humanity as well, including such people, in order to redeem everyone and everything? I think if Jesus exists or existed (and already I am being blasphemous)...I have not doubt by the way, that he existed historically, we are all Him. But I think it's also a little more complicated than that. We have to almost touch that evil at the bottom and then spring back up, and know where to shirk. People who are a little to good, a little too lovey-dovey, are almost or maybe as much questionable in terms of our complete attainment, collectively and individually, as those people full of hate, or those people who are empty of their Inner Judge. I am suspicious. I don't mean to completely dimiss such people as human beings, but people have to question, to change. I guess that's what agnosticism so important. I think Science and Creationism are both extremisms on the the same coin (to use something of a mixed metaphor).

By the way, where did this 63% Satanism come from. I'm inclined to disagree with that one. I usually fill in the middle circle if I am unsure, if I am sitting on the fence, or the one after that, either way, if I somewhat agree or somewhat disagree. I don't know who designed these mini-surveys, but everyone should be aware that they are for entertainment purposes only.

Buddhism and Hinduism are paganisms. Not enough religious studies books and experts take that into account. They act as if we western people invented all religions and that Buddhism and Hinduism, Taoism, are just footnotes. Ridiculous. I just read an absolutely amazing book by Jonathan Kirsch called God Against the Gods: The War Between Monotheism and Polytheism. Brilliant, except he completely turns a blind eye to the other paganisms as well, and largely concentrates on the first three centuries of the Roman Empire. I am very much inspired by Julian ("the Apostate" to those hate-mongers who love the murderous Constantine and Inquisitors who descended from him). Julian was sensitive, artistic, and a brilliant politician. His inexperience and slight lack of caution on the battlefield against the Persians was his downfall. Anyway, Kirsh should have left out some of the stuff about Constantine, skipped to Julian, and talked a good deal more about Taoism, Hinduism, etc. The conflict between Muslims and Hindus in early India, when the Muslims took over the country would have made a good subject, as well.

To conclude, I guess my whole area of interest is changing. I am less into the traditional apolitical version of humanities. Before I was a student of music. I did a degree in Cinema and started my Masters in that field. Now I am in Taiwan, I am interested in the history and structure of languages, their alphabets, their interactions with people and religions. I am also interested in the propaganda potential of language or linguistics, whether it be the rhetoric of the spoken word or the visual aesthetic.

You scored as agnosticism.

You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Mad Scientist you may be, (and a geneticist at that) but you could never be a Josef Mengele.
As for the religion quiz I rated:
Christianity 88%
Judaism 50%
Islam 42%
Buddhism 38%
Paganism 38%
agnosticism 21%
Hinduism 8%
Satanism 8%
atheism 4%

Of course these things are skewed towards a person's general bias. Really, nore questions and more in depth questions are needed to get a real answer.
