Splog!

So some dipshit by the handle of "Costa Rica" has been splogging my blog with crap about investment opportunities - time share condos and other sure to be real estate scams within the sovereign nation of Costa Rica. Yes this blog gets a lot of hits - all things considered - but man, has "Costa Rica" hit the wrong blog.
Neither the author nor many of the readers of this blog can afford or are inclined to get involved in the crap you are trying to peddle. Do yourself a favour and get over the whole capitalism thing - read up on Che Guevara and work to free you and your fellow citizens of the Capitalist hegemony that holds you nation hostage. Stop being lap dog for your imperialist overlords!

Yup, I had a blog somewhere else for a while but just kept getting spammed so I deleted it. Trolls, spammers, etc all just a waste of time. If you are looking at jobs in Canada try the Border Services, they pay well and I think they are looking for people. You need firearms certification, though. Good luck.

Looked into, but it is a bit longer a process than I want to get involved in. Not looking for a career - just a way back to school so I can start the career I want.

Hey, Magnus, uh, this splug thing is the whole reason that I turned comment moderation on, almost right from the start. It works. I know that it's disappointing to not be able to have your friends have their comments show up right away, but it doesn't take much time to check your messages everyday and push confirm or reject on the new comments. I have gotten pretty efficient at this. I never get spam. I once got maybe-quasi-spam, but it still isn't the stuff that other people talk about. I guarantee it. I have never had real spam almost from the beginning because I used comment moderation.

Word verification took care of it right away. I tried moderation afterward when, I suspect, the sploggers started posting abusive posts. However, people found it to be a pain in the ass.
I had two abusive comments show up today. One was crude and directed at Geo, the other didn't make sense. What I would like is for blogger to give us the ability to block accounts and report anonymous abusive users so Blogger can track down their ISP.

At me?
But I'm so nice and perfect in every way?
*I'd* like the ability to track down the "anonymous" jerks like that and get them turfed off...but what can ya do.
Thanks for protecting my honour my good sir :)

Not a problem. He (or she) was suggesting that you lick his (or her) rectum. It is so easy to be a coward on line.
