Well that explains that

CD in Play: Morphine, Like Swimming.

I was wondering why I wasn't getting any comments on recent posts. I just figured everyone got bored and was avoiding my blog. Low and behold, the moderation option was enabled. I didn't do it, at least I don't recall messing around with those settings. So all the comments are up, you still care and my life is complete... sort of.

Well, my life really isn't all that complete and frighteningly enough I am really beginning to understand the writings of Philip K. Dick. Not because of drugs, because I avoid those, but maybe because he was insane and maybe I am heading the same route. Or maybe I just need to sleep more?

Anyone going to see "A Scanner Darkly" when it comes out?

I plan to...I'm just wondering when it'll actually come out. I enjoyed Waking Life, so I'm looking forward to it if only for the visual experience. Knowing this place I'm sure it'll be here for al lof 2 days or just come to our local community theatre that shows indie and smaller films so I have to keep an eye out so I don't miss it. Know the release date by any chance??

Off topic, I watched the beginning of the Singing Detective last night...I couldn't sit through it all. Too strange in a bizarre way (but not a good bizarre...if that makes *any* sense). If I'd been more interested I might have been able to force myself through it, but man...it wasn't even so wierd as it was just....ungripping. At first it seemed promising, if only as eye candy, but I was in a state of non-grippedness after half an hour. I just genuinely did not like the character Downey Jr. played...maybe the book is better. We'd heard raves about it...maybe it was the book and not the film. Seen it?

"A Scanner Darkly" comes out sometime in March supposedly. I am not a big fan of the Canoe (though he does have his moments) or Winnona Rider, but I am looking forward to this since it has been directed by Richard Linklater.
Robert Downey Jr. will also be in "ASD" as will Woody Harelson. I didn't see "The Singing Detective" no interest. My and musicals - meh. phthbbbpt!!! >>vomit<<

At one point I thought it would be interesting to see a film done with the same acting style and delivery that they used to do in the thirties and fourties. Then I saw the Cohen Brothers' "The Hudsucker Proxy". Bad idea. Unwatchable.
